Summary:
This position is responsible for conducting pre-operative inspection of the facility. Other duties include: inspect and audit products for adherence of Tyson and USDA guidelines; conduct necessary testing, inspection, and monitoring of activities associated with production; monitor finished boxed product for compliance; document record keeping activities; monitor and insure compliance with plant HACCP and SSOP programs; assist in special projects; and other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor. The team member performing this position understands that the functions performed could affect product safety, legality and quality systems. This position assignment may entail work on either A-shift and/or B-shift as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. College credits are a plus.
Experience:
None required.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
Position involves: heavy lifting 70 lbs. ; Repetitive Motion of Upper Body and Limbs, Use of Fingers - dexterity and normal sensation required; both hands required; walking, prolonged standing, climbing stairs and vertical ladders; proper vision including but not limited to depth perception, ability to detect odors; working indoors and outdoors; excessive heat, cold, humidity, chilling, noise, slippery and uneven walking surfaces; working around machinery with moving parts; working around moving objects or vehicles; working in close proximity to others; irregular hours of work; exposureto offensive odors such as manure, blood, etc.; will be required to wear appropriate safety protection; reading and interpreting product specifications; functioning well under stress; flexibility to work where and when needed throughout plant ; and all miscellaneous duties as assigned.
